January 8， 2007 -- ADC (www.adc.com) announced that it has expanded its federal government program with the hiring of Rich Towers and Rich Kent。Towers joins the company as director of federal sales; Kent will support ADC in an advisory capacity。
According to a press release， Towers hails from Emerson Network Power's Energy Systems NA business unit where he was the government business manager with a focus on the federal marketplace。He has more than 27 years of experience in various executive positions including services， sales， business development and management。He also held various management positions in business development and field sales roles with RELTEC/Marconi。
Kent is CEO of Fedforce， LLC， a consultancy firm that specializes in sales and marketing into the enterprise and federal marketplaces。He has more than 22 years of executive-level， high technology technical marketing， and sales experience selling into the federal government。Kent held various executive sales positions at Network Systems Corporation from 1987-1994。He also held several executive positions at FORE Systems/Marconi from 1995-2002 including president， federal operations， and executive vice president Americas for Marconi。
ADC manufactures copper and fiber network infrastructure products and active electronic components used in advanced data and telecommunications networks， and is a supplier to a number of federal agencies。
